Karibu (welcome) to the 5th Annual Dining for a Cause (DFAC) event! On behalf of the Delaware Kenya Association (DEKA), we warmly invite you to participate in our organization’s signature and finest legacies. This year’s event marks an important milestone since its inception, and we welcome you to be a part of it.

This year, our event welcomes you to be part of a movement to empower African youth by creating a model Youth Entrepreneurship Center in Kenya serving bright but disadvantaged youth. Our theme, “Youth Today…Leaders Tomorrow is inspired by the United Nations’ Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and in particular, eradicating extreme poverty and hunger.

The event is an opportunity for community members, local activists, students, community leaders along with spiritual leaders to accept the challenge and become the solution for the poverty crisis in many African villages.

For the last seven years, Delaware Kenya Association has brought hope to thousands of people including children from the slums of Nairobi to remote places of the country on diverse issues ranging from HIV/AIDS and education to access to clean drinking water. We continue with this important tradition of “harambee” (pulling together) as we invite you to join our movement of promoting African awareness and activism that will benefit our community and especially the African continent and further the cause of a better African understanding and actions towards meaningful, humane and, sustainable projects.

Join us as we create the way forward for employment stimulation, economic growth, and empowerment from down up utilizing youth entrepreneurship as the catalyst in Kenya!

Sincerely,
Christopher Coons
